The Disaster Communications Service prides itself in its ongoing training efforts. Below you will find the equipment that we deem essential to have and maintain in your First Aid Kit.
 

Your First Aid Kit or a smaller variation should be with you at any activation.  The list below consists of items that we recommend.

RECOMMENDED BASIC ESSENTIALS:

Ace wrap

Alcohol wipes

Antacid (Mylanta or equivalent)

Antiseptic wipes

Band-Aids: 12 various sizes

Benadryl

Decongestant

Dressing tape

Dressings: eight 2-inch H 2-inch

Dressings: eight 4-inch 'H 4-inch

Eye dressings

Eye wash

First-aid book

Gauze rolls (Kerlix)

Hydrogen peroxide

Instant hot and cold packs

Magnifying glass

Motrin or aspirin

Tylenol

Pen and paper

Pepto Bismol

Polysporin ointment

Pressure dressings

Q-tips

Scissors

Splinter-removal kit

Steri-Strips

Sun block

Thermometer

Triangular bandage

Vinyl gloves

** Carry nothing more complex than you can administer and always remember that with first-aid supplies, more is always better.
